History
Settled in the early 1700’s, the Greater Gardner area attracted fine wood workers from around the world. In 1850, our reputation for fine chair crafting earned Gardner the name of “Chair City of the World". Today, the entire Greater Gardner area remains famous worldwide for crafting much of the world’s finest home furnishings. The rural beauty of western Massachusetts -- including brilliant foliage season and the lure of local attractions -- make Greater Gardner a wonderful destination for furniture, and so much more.
